LOOKING AFTER YOUR LINEN

We recognise that caring for your bed and table linen often causes concern about ‘getting it right’.

We hope the following guidelines and our tried and tested tips help to give you confidence.

The first thing to know is that less is more. Harsh chemicals, bleaches or optical whitening detergents will not be kind to your linen. So please do not use these products.

Secondly, we know our fabrics because we weave them. We use the finest yarns and carefully selected dyes to ensure colours do not bleed when washed. We select the threads for embroidery, the yarn counts for cotton and the fibres for our cashmere. This makes a difference because the fabric you buy is made well, made to last and made with care.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN...

You should know all our bed and table linen is pre-washed, pre-shrunk and arrives in your home ready to use.

It’s also important to note that where we have mixed white Organic cotton with a coloured linen or cotton, these fabrics have been pre-washed and there will be no loss of colour.

Our tips:

• Unfold all pieces before loading the washing machine
• Open each piece, shake well and reshape after washing
• Stretch napkins to a square before drying
• Iron while slightly damp, and on the reverse side for all embroidered linen
• Store linens in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area
• Linens stored long term should be wrapped in cotton, muslin or acid-free paper

BED LINEN

100% Organic Cotton Percale and Sateen

Italian Cotton Voile, Percale and Sateen

Yarn-dyed Italian and Belgian Linen

Yarn-dyed Lotus Linen

Care Instructions

Machine wash max 40°C / 105°F, use delicate or low spin cycle

Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry

Iron on reverse while damp, max 150°C / 300°F

Do not bleach; do not use optical whitening detergents

Please note for our block printing designs that due to the handcrafted nature of the printing process, variation in print and colour may occur

TABLE LINEN

Care Instructions

Machine wash max 30°C / 80°F, use delicate or low spin cycle, or hand wash

Raw Silk placemats and runners must be washed by hand

Hang to dry; do not tumble dry

Iron on reverse while damp, max 150°C / 300°F

Do not bleach; do not use optical whitening detergents

Do not Dry Clean

ITALIAN LEATHER PLACEMATS AND COASTERS

Wipe with damp cloth and mild soap

Do not rub; use a light circular motion working towards centre of the stain

Dry immediately with a soft cloth

The surface of our natural leather product has been treated to protect it for normal use as a placemat or coaster. However, it is a natural material and not suitable for extremely hot or wet items as it will mark.

ORGANIC COTTON TERRY TOWELS

Fabric we use:

100% Organic Cotton Terry Towelling

Care Instructions

Machine wash max 60°C / 140°F

Tumble dry on low heat, this will restore volume and loft to the towels

Iron on low heat

Do not bleach; do not use optical whitening detergents
